Objectifying Space Marines

I didn't get a whole lot done last week (most of my Monday was spent building a Battle Barge) so I skipped the update. Here's what I managed this week though.

My objectives, nearly finished for NEAT tomorrow. I wanted to use some brass mesh to make camo netting for the ammo store but the Michaels I went to didn't have any. :P As it stands it's kind of plain but it will do for tomorrow. The Damocles radar was built with plastic card (14 pieces I think 8) ). I'm not too happy with the free handing for the radar dish recessions. I'll probably print out a decal for it instead when I do the Land Raider door ones.

Here we have my project from last week. Holy crap this thing took a long time to build. And I still haven't got primer covering everything. I hoping to finish this guy up for the end of July.

I realized I didn't have any librarian characters, so I put together two real quick last night.

Finally, some shots of Command Horizon's human troopers (standing and kneeling). These guys haven't got too much coverage on here so I figured some people might be interested to see how they scale to other models.

They're 6.5-7mm tall from helmet to boot and carry a fairly compact looking rifle. No 6mm lasguns for these guys.

Orky Armor

A bit of building, putty work and yellowification this week as I missed the Monday painting night due to travel.

These Dreadnoughts are new, I cut and repositioned the arms to give them a little "I'm not a crab" variety.

I also finished my other 3 Stompas and puttied the ammo drum up. They didn't do a whole lot in my games with them over the weekend but took a lot of fire.

I also finished up my two Zzap wagons and puttied the 4 Flakwagonz.

And I finally got around to puttying Chubby as well and dressing him up all pretty like.

Get There Fast and Paint Real Slow

Greetings from the Conch Republic! A small update this week as only some Wartraks and GZG APCs stole away with me on vacation (the latter were on a whim after seeing TacCommer Despot's excellent army of GZG vehicles). I've also been working on cleaning up some Command Horizon infantry but they're not based yet (as that will involve a bit of spackle yet).

First up are my Wartraks. I'm going to be using the Heavy Flamer variants as Scorchas, and the other eight as Wartraks. They'll be based and yellowified this Monday when I get back, hopefully.

And here are some of the GZG APCs I brought down with me. The bases are my cheap alternative to litko bases. They're Evergreen Scale Models 1/4" Sidewalk (easier to score thanks to the pre-scored lines) and some sticky-backed magnetic sheeting I picked up at Michaels for $6.
