I'd like to eventually play Lasalle with these TravelBattle French but there's not quite enough there for a standard game. Between that and painting an opposing force I thought I'd remove one obstacle by laser cutting some sabots to use with Blücher.

Two Lasalle stands per Blücher base will make for a decent sized force, now all I have to do is paint an oppsing force. :P

The bases are the global standard 1.75"×1.25". Odd, but it allows me to stick some mini card sleeves underneath to keep track of the units and their abilities during the game. Additionally, a BW of 1.75" means my 30"×40" printed mat is the perfect size for a game.

I finished up the French Hussars tonight, I painted them in the 6^th regiment colors.

Just the characters left to go at this point, but I think I'm going to hop back over to the Epic armored company as we have our annual tournament coming up and I want some new tanks to play with.

I continue to fight the good fight in the never ending war of unfinished projects sitting around my painting desk. These past few weeks I grabbed the last strip of TravelBattle Fusiliers and finished them up. I have just the Hussars and Commanders to go at this point, and I think I'll try to finish them up next while motivation for it is high.

I actually picked up another copy of the game for cheap from a local eBayer. So I have a British army to get to at some point as well.

I finished up another unit of French Fusiliers today. The end is in site for this project, just the Hussars, characters and one more unit of the Fusiliers to go.

I got a new roof this past week so the Carabiniers got put on hold for a bit. They're done now, so I'll tackle one of my last two Fusiliers next.

I finished my second company of Fusiliers this week, on to the Carabiners next.

I'm planning on breaking up the painting of the fusiliers with the artillery and cavalry options that came on the TravelBattle sprue. This past week I tackled the artillery.

I finished my first battalion of 8mm French Fusiliers this week. I think I'll tackle some artillery next.

I finished the Warmaster Dwarf artillery pieces this week. I also edged a few bases on the entire army as well. My goal for next week is to finish that up and give myself Flock Lung putting the flock on everything. After that, it's on to something else.

I think I'd like to take a quick tangent (I don't know why I call it that, they're never quick) into the world of historicals. Specifically, 8mm Napoleonics courtesy of Perry Miniature's TravelBattle. My original plan was to use these for Command and Colors Napoleonics, but I decided to laser cut some bases so I could use them for other games as well (maybe Lasalle or Blucher). Have I got all the colors in the right place? At 8mm I don't have to worry about buttons and other small details, but there's still a surprising amount of them on there.
