Schneaky Scheanky - Part III

Edit Post

I meant to post these up Monday but for forgot my card reader at home one day, and the card the other. Anyway I made some progress on these since then. The missile tanks are done, just need to finish up the regular tanks.

Microworld Games Foundationalist

Here's a few closeups of the APCs. I'm happy enough with them considering how quick I painted them up.

Finally, here's my last entry in the EpiComp, sixteen stands of Baccus' sci-fi human infantry. The body armor/suit is done now, just need to pick out the details and do the base.

Edit Post

Not a whole lot of painting this week, but I got some building done.

These are the Wolf light tanks all built and primed. Not sure why I bothered to take a picture, the "flat" gray primer is rather shiny and shows off none of the detail.

Wolf Tanks

And these are my shiny GZG Jupiter tanks.

Jupiter Tanks

And another platoon of CH's infantry.

Command Horizon Infantry

I finally got my magnetic adapters for my air force, so I spent some time getting my TBolts operational for a game on Wednesday. Once I'm done with the hounds I'll start work on these guys.

Thunderbolts

Finally, he's my progress on the hounds. I finished up the blue on lefty this week. I started painting the white on the head armor, but wasn't sure how much to paint white. The War Griffon's scheme has the entire head yellow, should I follow suite and do all white leaving none of the gunmetal details?

Warhounds

More Titans and Titan-Traction

Edit Post

Got another group of eight Command Horizon infantry assembled and built this week. They're ready for basing and priming, hopefully I'll get to that this weekend.

Command Horizon Infantry

These are T10 Wolf tanks from GZG all set to be based and primed.

T10 Wolf Tanks

I worked on these guys the majority of the week. The blue has its shade, base and first highlight coat down. I should be able to finish their other highlights this week.

Warhounds

Deus Malleus Walks

Edit Post

The Command Horizon troops and their GZG APCs were finished this week, complete with a gloss/dullcote and the silfor tufts. Two more of these formations to go. :P

Hard Sci-fi

I also finished the Warlord's weapons and base, and named it Deus Malleus (God Hammer). After took this I realized I missed the Mechanicus symbol so I've still got to do that. I'd still like to but some heraldry on him, anyone know a company that prints custom white decals?

Deus Malleus

I started work on the Warhounds this week. The metal is done and one of them has had the base put down for the blue.

Warhounds

A Titan and Titan-Traction

Edit Post

I got some of the detail work done on the infantry last week. I just need to finish the highlight on the khaki, touch up the green and black, and do the bases. I'm looking forward to seeing what a formation looks like with the Silfor tufts.

Titan Traction

I also did the highlights on the Warlord. I think I'm going to go back and clean them up some more though. Sorry for the glare, the citadel washes give everything a sheen that makes it difficult to photograph.

Titan

An Early Autumn

Edit Post

I got my Silfor grass tufts in this week. These are the early autumn, two tone tufts in 2-4mm. I think they work great for small bushes at this scale. I managed to finish up my other APCs this week and started on the infantry's skin.

Silfor Grass Tufts

Most of my time was spent on this guy. I'm still not sure how I'm going to paint the weapon casings (waffling between blue and black, thoughts?), the weapon's armor plating (blue or yellow) and the head (again blue or yellow). I think I'm going to go back and have the trim metal though, there just seems to be too much blue.

Warlord Warlord

I finished building these guys this week too, they'll be getting some paint once I figure out how to paint the Warlord. :P

Warhounds

And these are the Silfor late autumn tufts I plan on using for my Subjugators. What do you guys think? Is it deserty/dry-landy enough for you guys?

Late Autumn Grass Tufts

Finally, I also manage to track down the metal mesh I saw awhile ago and made some camo netting with it. What do you guys think?

Edit Post

The Tech-marines are finally done and the Librarians are based. Getting these done took way too long, given their size. :P

Techmarines and Librarians

I also finished my Battle Barge this week. This brought me over 8k worth of painted Marines, I'm now at 8300 points total. Only 600 left to go (3 THawks).

Battle Barge Battle Barge

I also continued to mess around with my Command Horizon infantry and GZG APCs. I like how they are coming out. I've got some Silfor tufts on the way as well, I think I'm going to try them out on these guys before I use it on the Marines.

Hard Sci-fi

And finally, I started painting the Warlord. The metal needs a wash and another highlight, after that it's onto the plates.

Warlord

Fun with Hard Sci-fi

Edit Post

I didn't manage to make it to last week's painting night due to the holiday but I still got a few things done throughout the week.

I finished the dry brushing, black detailing and wash for the Battle Barge. Now begins the touch-up and detail stages.

Battle Barge

I also finished my Apothecary and Standard bearer. The Techmarines and Librarians I'm hoping to finish this week finally.

Space Marine Characters

Also, here's the Command Horizon infantry I put together and primed two weeks ago that I never got a chance to take pictures of.

Command Horizon Infantry

I tried a test scheme for my infantry and APC. It was pretty simple and I'm happy enough with it, what do you guys think? I'm still not impressed with woodland scenics stuff on bases, I think I'm finally going to break down and get some Silfor grass tufts.

Objectifying Space Marines

Edit Post

I didn't get a whole lot done last week (most of my Monday was spent building a Battle Barge) so I skipped the update. Here's what I managed this week though.

My objectives, nearly finished for NEAT tomorrow. I wanted to use some brass mesh to make camo netting for the ammo store but the Michaels I went to didn't have any. :P As it stands it's kind of plain but it will do for tomorrow. The Damocles radar was built with plastic card (14 pieces I think 8) ). I'm not too happy with the free handing for the radar dish recessions. I'll probably print out a decal for it instead when I do the Land Raider door ones.

Space Marine Objectives

Here we have my project from last week. Holy crap this thing took a long time to build. And I still haven't got primer covering everything. I hoping to finish this guy up for the end of July.

Battle Barge

I realized I didn't have any librarian characters, so I put together two real quick last night.

Librarians

Finally, some shots of Command Horizon's human troopers (standing and kneeling). These guys haven't got too much coverage on here so I figured some people might be interested to see how they scale to other models.

Command Horizon Infantry

They're 6.5-7mm tall from helmet to boot and carry a fairly compact looking rifle. No 6mm lasguns for these guys.
